Hi Ignacio, Thank you for your kind words of comment. I did not know whether you would want it posted on the blog, so I am contacting you first for permission. I had a chance to look at your website; your work shows a lot of skill, I especially like the painting of the pocket watch. One of the concepts I could help you with is composition, and building a painting from several different references (such as from photo and from life in the same painting). I would be happy to meet with you sometime; I can work with you at my atelier in Antioch or through Arts Benicia, where I have a class on Sunday, resuming January 10. Keep in contact, and I will add you to my mailing list. Have a great holiday,

Thanks for including my poem with your gorgeous Nude '03, Jody. I prefer looking at her every morning to what the mirror reflects. That you drew on a wonderful oak makes it even better.
Art on!

Well, building and maintaining your own website certainly is a hobby all in itself. It's time consuming and requires a lot of thought and organisation in order to make your website navigable and pleasant and thus keep visitors returning. Not only that, but if you want people to find your website in the first place, you'll need to ensure you've mastered your SEO. It will take a number of months for you to start building traffic and rankings, but if you keep plugging at it and build a base of users, you'll ultimately achieve your goals.

Hi Jody,

This looks great! Good job. And I love your website too. If you haven't checked out Jody's website yet, it's worth seeing. Go to www.jodymattison.com.

If you get a moment you should talk about glazing, both in oils and with water-based oils. There are many interested students out there who've taken your classes but need a refresher. I'll send them here if you decide to blog about it.

Cheers to a great job on your sites.

Ciao,
